Repair procedures
Removal
1. Lift up the vehicle.
(Refer to GI group - "Lift and support points")
2. Remove the rear bumper.
(Refer to the BD group - "Rear bumper")
3. Pull out the sensor by opening the sensor holder out.
4. Disconnect the connector from the ultrasonic sensor.
Installation
1. Install the sensor and connector.

The 4WD ECM controls the Pump Motor Pump (Actuator) to generating an oil
pressure. The pressure engages a multiple
disk clutch to transfer torque to the rear wheels. The torque to the rear
wheels varies according to the pressure on the
clutch.

1. Prior to servicing the electrical system, be sure to turn off the ignition
switch and disconnect the battery ground
cable.

In the course of MFI or ELC system diagnosis, when the battery cable is
removed, any diagnostic double
